Addison County Sporting Club Meeting Minutes July 8th

Addison Volunteer Fire Station, Addison, VT

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Peter Lossman.

Secretary’s Report: A motion was made by Brian Nolan, seconded by Bob Patterson to approve the

minutes from the previous meeting as dispersed. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report: Tim Bouton reported that the new account balance is $1865.00 and has stated

that he will be reimbursing himself the Secretary of State Filing fees of $155.00. Harold Masterson

made the motion, seconded by Bob Patterson, to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Land Opportunities: Dick Terk reported that he had heard from Kevin Alnicki who is a property owner

that may be interested in talking about land.

EIN / Bank Account: Tim Bouton stated that he has started the process and that Sara Haselton has

offered to be our Registered Agent to help. He is still waiting on more from the bank to continue.

Fundraising Ideas: The gun raffle is complete and looks to have raised the group a total of $1395.00.

Field Days: Bob Patterson stated that the Coalition would have space and would be willing to have us

put our membership forms and possibly a sign of some sort at their table. It was discussed that Tim

Bouton would look into ordering a sign or banner and some more t-shirts to sell at Field Days. Bob

Patterson made the motion to do this, seconded by Dick Terk. Motion passed.

Membership Participation: This will be held on September 9 th . It was discussed to have burgers and

dogs and drinks for the group. Anyone interested should RSVP to a board member so we have an

idea of how much food we need to purchase. Dick Terk and Brian Nolan will look into helping

coordinate and get volunteers. It was discussed to have folks from different agencies or groups

speak of upcoming projects that would be of interest to our members and the community in general.

Sponsorships: There was much discussion about how to establish levels of sponsorships from area

businesses or groups. What would they get out of their sponsorship? It was decided that the Board

of Dorectors and Officers would need to discuss further to set this up.

There was discussion about the ACSC joining the Coalition int he future, once we are fully

established.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 12 th at 6:30pm at the Addison Fire Station.

Bob Patterson made the motion, seconded by Dick Terk, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:54 pm.
